Doubt, debt and duty

Doubts, debts and duties come together as a need for a response to our daily discourse, to our beliefs, to our loyalties.

Doubts seem to show themselves in a competitive way. Yes. The version that one has, competes with another that might approach, call...

The daisy starts to be plucked: yes, no, yes, no…

That terrible game of Russian roulette: a bullet in a spinning drum.

The saying went: “Doubt offends.” It fundamentally offends the one who has it; and, in addition, to the corresponding environment. And it creates a debt. Yes. Because he hasn't quite made up his mind, because he sees, or has been told, or has heard, or has written, or has been read... and what he believed in takes on another version.

And doubt flourishes as if it were an investigation in search of clarification and finding the truth. Phew!

And thus, once the mechanism is set in motion, the doubt resolved today will be a doubt tomorrow; and then, the day after tomorrow.

And so, he becomes a quotidian being, doubtful, indebted to certainty, to not having captured and grasped the truth. And the duty assigned to him fails to be done, or is done in an incompetent or in a moodily manner; whereupon, doubt, debt and duty come together.

All this in the belief, that is the reference, the pattern, the guide.

Other axioms state that we must permanently doubt everything, in order to get closer to the truth.

And certainly, with such a position, there is no commitment, no testimony, no communion, since everything is doubtful.

But we are social beings by nature, by necessity.

But it will not be difficult to remember –and it will have already surfaced- that, in moments –“moments”- of an enamoured position, the doubt is diluted; it is not there.

There is no debt, since one is fully in a believing doing.

And the duty is fulfilled, since the being has entered into the frequency, into the dynamics of that loving-dawn.

They are moments that can last longer, shorter... but which are always under the threat of will, reason, logic, experimentation, choice.

And so, it is easy to believe in this or that, but with a margin of doubt, of debt, of duty.

The enamoured belief in love evolves into different fragrances. And when it is cultivated, cared for and paid attention to, it does not falter. It becomes faithful, and grows in innovation, in discovery.

Believing becomes a continuous growth, an expansion of contributions and discovery, without possessing truths, with the certainty of feelings.

The Prayer Call asks us about our levels of belief in the diversity of our needs, and delves into solving debt, doubt, and duty.

The domestication of beliefs, which expands in the propaganda of freedoms, places these beliefs –whatever they may be- in that abyss of “reasonable doubts”… around which conditionings, conditions arise: logical reasons that lead us and lead us and lead us to domesticate, to dispossess innovation, novelty, the enamoured moment, the proposed lover. Once domesticated it becomes property and loses Grace.

Domesticating becomes a triumph, because any process subordinates and submits to the taste of each one.

The being makes —in that sense- of love, a possessive desire that it teaches to jump, to calm down, to run, to stop...

When Loving is domesticated, Love, loses its mystery, loses its creative roots, and becomes an instrument, an opportunistic cronyism... which interests me now, now yes, now no.

Once the domestic is established, custom appears as a demand, as domination, as a control, as an obligation.

Loving, turned into custom, enslaves everything it touches.

There is no place, in infinitude, the custom of dominance and demand; the monotonous permanence that seeks safety among the clouds.

And with these customs, fences are found nearby and emerge: the fence that becomes dogmatic, the fence that must be defended, the fence that is offered to attack and expand its dominance.

And so, the being can see its belief fenced, and needs to put doors on its affections.

We are not beings of fences, surrounded by thorn barriers. We are fluid beings wandering among winds and stars. Believed in their belief, grown in the credibility of their actions.

This is how the development of faith is configured, which allows us to have that boiling point, that point of heat: that, when doubt is insinuated, tenderness immediately increases. And with it fear dissipates; that fear that doubt brings, and that leads us to defend ourselves and attack.

Being alert to the demands of Love.

Demands, which are promises of internal value; of those that do not involve work or fuss, but they are rather... passions of illusion. Liberation fantasies!

And there, the domestic does not fit. Serfdom disappears.

There is no doubt, debt... and duties are not impositions to be fulfilled, but joys that must be realized.
